Hi friends..Looking at a Beneteau Evasion 34 next week. Looks interesting. Anyone have any thoughts about them?It is based in Med but hoping to take to Canaries.I have done this passage several times ... What are anyone’s thoughts about Evasion 34 doing this ..in comfort??!Looking this boat and a couple of others.
Would appreciate any thoughts and particularly from anyone who may have owned one or sailed one.
Many thanks
Cheers

I've no direct experience of the boat, but one of them was used in the second season of S4C's sailing series, "Codi Hwyl" and looked the business. Comfortable looking, capable looking boat, with an inside steering position, if my memory serves me correctly.

Many thanks for that.I was able to download from iPlayer. Once I found subtitles switch enjoyed view...must admit first bit I looked at showed her being towed with engine problem ahaha. Thanks very much again.Best regards Rich

An Atlantic crossing, we did 2,800 nms, in a boat that size could take up to 30 days days so you wiii need provisions and water for the crew, we carried bottled water in case the water tank ran out, it wil take up considerable space so work what you will need and if everything will fit. The other thing is all boat kit except the eleclronics is made for weekend and holiday sailors so everything will break more than once. We carried two spares for everything, exploded diagrams and a whole range of tools, more space taken. To put the crossing into context we took 25 days to cross in a 38 foot boat because of light winds we were praying for squalls which we finally got. We had provisioned for 30 days. This is some advice from an ARC survey: https://www.yachtingworld.com/tag/arc-survey
