Beneteau droopy side covering.

Even Benes have issues with droopy coverings and I have just stripped the plastic foam backed sides off my forward cabin walls. I am going to put 6.5 mm closed cell foam on first and then the cleaned off foam PVC original covering. Ouestion, will Evostick type glue damage the closed cell foam? It is foamed polyethylene.

Evo stick is not suitable for use on vinyls , Hawke house do an adhesive specially mixed for just this .

We used a PVA based flooring adhesive for our linings. Under the vinyl we put a layer of the insulation used for under floor heating.

We have found out that 6.5mm mats from Decathlon are closed cell foamed polyethylene. So the walls are cleaned down spotlessly to glass fibre, all old adhesive gone. Plan is to stick the mats on first followed by the old cleaned up vynil as recommended by Hawkhouse. In Portugal so finding a suitable adhesive is testing us.
