Beneteau Antares 780 , Suzuki 150 ?

Hi guys , a friend is looking at this combo and just wondered if anyone has good / bad info or opinions on these boats . They certainly look nice and seem to be well equipped and the Suzuki seems to be well thought of . Thanks in advance for any pointers :encouragement:

Evinrude are offering 10 year warranties on engines bought before 31 March, though i'm not sure if that's just in the US or worldwide. Nothing wrong with the Suzuki, it's a fine engine, but if the 10 year warranty applies in the UK it has to be worth considering i'd have thought. You also get 5 year service intervals (with G2 models, 3 years with other etec).

Almost the same. It was an 8.80 with a df300. The Suzuki was a lovely engine, smooth and sounded great. It was a V6 though, is the 150 four or six cylinder?

Thanks for replies , it is second hand and not sure if it is 4 or 6 cylinder , 150hp . Have been looking in the archive and looks as though it should be good for 25 knots ( 20 cruise )

My colleague has the 2014 model with the merc 150. I think he easily cruises above 20 and tops out at 28 knots.
He loves it. The only thing I am not keen on is the still lingering smell of grp in the cabin. Perhaps it's just his!
