They all seem to be about the same spec, the price is similar enough so pros and cons for each one? I know there's been a bit of discussion lately about the MFs but Beneteau don't seem to get so many mentions. Is it because they're not so good or just not so common?

These are the ones I have looked at recently.. Still making up my mind on it all really.. As far as I can tell the Antares and MF have the same hull so on the water should feel the same.. No option for a separate heads on the Antares which really eliminated it from my list..

Parker 660 Weekend and MF have near identical internal layouts, if found the helm seat on the Parker slightly offset from the wheel where the MF is in line.. MF also "feels" bigger inside the saloon area.. MF also has the sliding roof option which I couldn't see on the Parker..

Outside the cockpits ate similar with the Parker having seating across the back and up both sides.. The MF has it across the back and up the port side and then across the non opening part of the sliding door.. Parker side seats can be folded away while the MF has boxes that make up the seating that would have to be removed and left on shore somewhere if you wanted the full open cockpit..

Haven't been out on the Parker so don't know the sea keeping characteristics but the MF seems very capable of dealing with bad conditions.. On a good day they probably are both great as all boats would be..

Hi Wipe_out,

Just seen your interesting sea trial post. I think the separate heads is a good point although looking at the new beneteaus they mention a sea toilet so maybe the new ones have addressed this.

Time for some sea trials I think. Looks like it will be down to a simple question of taste.

Yes, as a total "preference" thing I am not all that keen on the reverse front screen on the Parker..

Would be interesting if Beneteau have also added an enclosed heads compartment.. Would mean there is very little between the two then.. If you do find out and it does have let me know and I might have to have a look at one more closely..
