Massive difference. If you are thinking of going off 2 handed I bet that after a few months you will wish you had gone a 44/45 footer.

I'd say it could be a decent bluewater cruiser. You get a substantial increase in internal volume over a 45ft hull of the same type. What you can do with the space is more of concern. The cruising/charter 50 is a bit double bed/comfort in harbour orientated for serious passage making. I can't see a great difference in labour required to sail a fifty if the sail handling gear is well chosen.

We looked at one to set up a skippered charter business. They appeared (I think they're discontinued now) to offer a big boat for a decent price.
