Hi to All, We are currently comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the above sailing Yachts, We are looking at going across the pacific and these two are our options....both built around 1996. Please Comment....(We been told that the Hunter is not as good as the Beneteau " leaks through hatches and the structure of hall is not as good for offshore sailing")

Sorry no one can answer, they must have gone to the pub. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am slightly confused by the Beneteau 413. The made an Oceanis 423 which would be a newer model than your 1996. I think you are talking about a 411 which has been 'renumbered' by a charter operator to show the 3 cabin model. The 411 is a very popular boat and they have been sailed in most cruising areas. The layout is one that some like - the master berth is the fore-cabin - personally I think it is a very good cruiser but have little knowledge of the Hunter. I think the 411 would suit very well.

Thanks for your replys.....Well, now we do have a hunter 40.5 1994, so I guest that would do the trip....will let you know how it goes...

Thanks
Marcelo
