Beneteau 405 Traveller system

Has anybody replaced their traveller system on the 405? The boat comes with an Amiot car system which does not work when under load. I am looking at replacing it with a Harken system, but this is about 25mm wider which means it does not fit in the slot. Has anybody comes across this and if so what did you do? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

First, welcome.

Second, how old is the boat (i.e is the traveller useless because of fair wear and tear)?

If the boat is recent, contact the agent/builder and tell them to fix it.

If the boat is older, contact the agent/builder and ask them how to fix it, because you won't be the first person to have discovered the problem.
