Need to fit a 16mm SS 316 hand grip, 25cm long straight part, on an outer curve
So want to convert a straight grip to a curved one
Concerned the legs of the grip will get in the way of the bending tool

What is the minimum length of pipe i can bend with something like this:

Or are there special tools for smaller items ?

I was going to suggest that tool wouldn't bend 16mm SS tube but then I saw "thin walled SS". If it is a "one off" exercise I've found it better to make up a template and take it to a specialist SS worker. (I do have a hydraulic bender but you need dies(?) for the size of tube you need to bend and invariably I haven't got one)

If I was going to buy a tool, I would stump up the bit extra for the Hilmore, except that it only comes with a 15mm die.
Just for one curve, it makes sense to find a bloke with a bender.

Interestingly, here the tube sizes for plumbing go up in even nos. So 16 is a common size. And, with a standard wall thickness of 1mm, they fit inside each other.
Thin walled is actually more difficult to bend, as the inside tends to buckle and SS is not very ductile, like copper.
