bench seat

Am looking to add a small bench seat to the rear cockpit area of my Merry Fisher 805 and I’ve been quoted £600 +postage for the real thing. Thinking about it, what is it really ! just simple white fibreglass box with a couple of stainless catches. Seems a hell of a lot of money for it. Anyone out there know of a cheaper supplier in the UK -thanks in advance

Might be worth giving Gary at Spartun Marine a ring in the morning. He has a mould that would produce a seat base unit that is length 1.01m x width 0.57m x height 0.37m.

The MF805 cockpit seat/locker provides useful storage space but is not water/rain proof and the small hatches provide restricted access. If you go for an alternative supplier you can address these issues. If you intend using the boat for fishing it would be worth considering a large commercial standard coolbox as a substitute for a dedicated seat.

he may even have somthing in stock.
