Can anybody tell me if it's worth a visit? Weather looks good for the weekend so thought would spend fri fishing then head into Benbridge then shoot down to Lymington for sat night.

Do they raft? Anywhere good to eat?

Thanks in advance

Not a bad place to visit.

Yes they raft when busy.

The Club ( Brading Haven YC ) is usually a reasonable place to eat but not always available . Friday evening this week will be fully booked by an owners association end of rally dinner.

The "Baywatch on the Beach" cafe becomes a reasonable restaurant in the evenings I believe.

Other places to eat mostly in Bembridge itself .

Worth taking the tender. It's a blimmin long walk round the harbour and about 100m across the water!

Nice place. But don't expect a bright lights/big city vibe.

Its one of our favourites too and I think that's because it is a bit back to basic boating. Never liked the "Baywatch on the beach" though, they have a pretty captive market with the boaters and the campers and maybe don't try as hard as they should.

Cracking butchers in Bembridge that sells magnificent pies if you want to bring one back on to the boat.

As Kev says there are lots of walks to do, Up to the Roman Villa at Brading or the old station, the 18C fort above the airport or even the Bembridge trail all the way to Newtown (and come back on the bus).

You will get rafted at weekends
