Can anyone advise if the central visitor's pontoon has been connected to shore yet or whether it is still necessary to dinghy to the marina?

We were in Bembridge on 1st June - and had to use the dinghy. The staff assured us the pontoon would be linked to the shore in "a couple of weeks"....

Yup, you have to row ashore. No showers, no loos, no power but the nice man comes round with a copy of the general forecast for you - Oh, yes. And collects £19.00 for using their pontoons. Talk about a rip-off.
