Bell weir lock, downstream lay-by shallow draught, again.

Once again the lower right hand lay-by as you go upstream at Bell weir lock has a very shallow area, several boats have grounded there over the last few days. There are three yellow stripes painted onto the side of the lay-by around half way along, keep clear of this area. Lock keeper was preparing to put a buoy in the area today, says it’s very shallow. Shame he only had a red buoy, but at least it’s a marker.
