And I have just helped the wedding organisers (SWMBO & sister) move all the booze back over the footbridge to go to the alternative wedding venue /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Mind you, no one seems to have told the river about the new status !

Shame! I would love to have offered you the venue here but... levels slightly up on yesterday. Let us hope they have now stabilised and will soon drop.

Well that would have been nice /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just went to see one of the lockies at Bell Weir, who was doing a spot of gardening. He said they expect another foot or two of water overnight and then, rain allowing, it will subside. He was quite concerned about the heritage boats up at Henley as there will not be enough air draught for them to come down for about another week.

Meanwhile he is looking forward to getting busy again as "me and Dave will be getting a divorce is things stay as quiet as this".

A few of photos, not very dramatic:

Thanks for that news Brendan.

I was on tenterhooks all night only to find barely an extra half inch on our moorings this morning. Strange as Henley had an extra 3' at 10am yesterday, I was expecting the surge here around 6pm? I sure hope that they're not holding it back with the Jubilee River only to let it go when our guard is down /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Sure is hooning through at, at a guess, 6-7Knts.

Rumour has it that its going to all happen tonight. The EA reckon it will peak around Shepperton this evening and go back down tomorrow morning, as of Tuesday I heard Sunbury weir was still not fully open, not sure if thats still the case? At Walton Bridge we're good at the moment, still about an inch before it comes over the frontage althought we have moved all the gnomes up the garden - just in case /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

LOL, the first thing I moved from the flooding mooring was SWMBO's much loved "gnome riding a turtle". No, actually, the second... I think the boat was first /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
