Belgians don\'t just make chocolate.
So this afternoon, this chap sculls into view, I happened to be posing around in the rib so offered a tow that was very politely declined.
With great aplomb, he finished his journey right up near to the Marina office here in Lanzarote.
Turns out he is a (massively brave) Belgian chap. Built the boat himself, sheathed ply, in Lagos, Portugal. Arrived today, 13 days at sea, got rolled several times, soaking wet, seasick, lost a stone, had enough and selling it!! Lets see what a few beers and a steak do!!
For perspective, look at the van, transity type. I reckon the boat is not more than 16 foot long. It looks like he wears it rather than sails it. What a guy.
