Had a great weekend visiting the Tall Ships. On Saturday we visited Belfast harbour via land and got to see the ships close at hand. The Belfast Maritime Festival is the largest ever known with estimates of 600 - 800,000 people attending over 3 days. Lots of shore activities including continental market and amusements which created a great atmosphere - it was really buzzing.

The last time the Tall Ships visited was in 1991 and since then there has been a massive transformation of the Belfast Waterfront and dockside.
You can see one of the Harland and Wolff cranes in the background
The Parade of Sail began at about 12pm on Sunday. We were there to watch these impressive ships leave at the end of an amazing weekend.
The wind was gusting around 25 knots with a brisk Force 5 - 6 so these ships were really moving - we clocked the Europa at 14 knots under full sail...
I have a load more photos if you're not completely bored
