I was looking at a boat for sale, one of the issues with it (apart from it being filthy with unwashed dishes in the sink and dirty socks on the berths!) was that it had behind mast mainsail furling- i.e not inmast, but like a roller reefed jib, on a halyard 6'' or so behind the mast. Now I know all the normal cons about roller furling, (having had inmast on my last boat, was always getting stuck, poor sail shape etc ) but are there any extra pros/cons about this system?
