Beer

Sorry about that - well not really. The forecast for this W/E shows light winds with a touch of north in them. I would love to sail from Torbay over to Beer (Yeessss) on Sat., anchor overnight off Beer,and pop back the following day.
I have seen no such posts refering to a trip like this and wonder if anyone has done it - and is there anything special to watch out for?

Grateful for any advice. The fish & chips following the trip by road were fine, and Jimmy Green was expensive (no offence meant JG)!

The forecast is, as you suggest, encouraging. The end-point - Beer - is a laudable objective. What's more, the club there is one of the best! You'll be welcome there.....

I know of local boats which have dragged broken their moorings in less than severe weather there.

Great place to anchor with anything from the top of the dial.Good holding and shelter local fisherman are helpfull .

All things being equal I might go for it, but I do need to be back in Salisbury for Sun night.
