Bugger. Hadn't really realised there was that much there or we may have stopped by on the way to St Malo this summer. Oh well, on the list it goes!

I certainly did not know it was under the jurisdiction of Jersey. As it is classified as the most southerly point of the British Isles means it is now on my list of places to sail to having already been to the most northerly and eastern points. Rockall is still to be reached at some time in the future.

Did you know there are 20 huts on the Minquiers and one was sold in 2018 as usually they are passed down within the family and rarely sold.

I have sailed close by and between some of the islands/rocks but never given myself the time to explore them. I have a feeling that I might not have got approval for the trip. Following Malcolm Robson around the Channel Isles was more than enough for my wife.

Recommended route from back in the 1960's from Robson is almost impossible to go through past Grune Tar, as the sand bank has drifted and enlarged.

GPS and plotters have rather taken away the difficulty of crossing the Minkies, or across to Iles Chausey.
