Been in the classroom all day

Yep it was a great powerboating day, I've been teaching too this w/e but a PB Level 1&2 and we had a lovely day in Southampton Water and the Solent today having lots of fun in the RIBs.

Talked to peeps on the Pontoon.
Daughter took Me and SWMBO for lunch and a few bevvies.
Back to the Marina to talk more boll%cks!

Funny enough, more activity down the Marina this weekend since last October.
Peeps seem to be saying 'Rollocks- rescession/ turndown/ whatever' We are out to play.

Oi!!! Less of the 'hope it's crap weather, next weekend'. Just because you will be stuck indoors for two days doing what you do best (you work it out /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif), doesn't mean that some of us don't want it to be warm & windless. Start of our boating week in Wales, remember?
 
Well Neddie asked would I like to get out, and I said yes......

So he drove us to boat no. 1, and I waited while he fiddled about with an engine a bit......

Then he drove us across the island to boat no. 2, and I waited while he pumped out the bilges......

Then he drove us to B&Q, and I waited while he located and bought some mysterious thingies he said he needed for boat no. 1.....

Then we came home.

I do enjoy a good trip out /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Next week I,m outside too.

Julie was running a VHF course at the school and we had two no shows as a result of the hour change - so you were not alone. Did you get the tides wrong as well?? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
 
Had a fab day out of Poole - not too much traffic - a blatt out of the harbour before the speed limit comes back into force on Wednesday. Got up to 35 knots off Old Harry and went down to Chapman's Pool and we were the only ones there all day.

Back again was a a bit choppier, but still fun. Sadly no pics as the First Mate left the camera at home.
 
Got up to see small unattended MoBo bouncing at the water's edge. Phoned CG who arrived by jeep to find owner had returned with fuel can.
Local RNLI Rib came to have a look but they were sent away.
Slipped from Marina and motored round to enquire - my offer of assistance also rejected!
By the time I got home the beach was empty.
On the way saw plume of black smoke up the Emsworth Channel or possibly Sweare Deep, while CG had guarded conversations on Ch Zero.
Another boat fire?
 
Whole day on the water - looking after a herd of SB3s in until about 3 then into Ummagumma and off for dinner at the Folly, lovely!
