Hopefully a fairly simple question initially.... has anybody actually "done" it or currently "doing" it at the moment?

I have a customer locally that is considering putting one of this motorboats on as a floating holiday home so to speak for short breaks on the Orwell. It's a >50ft Princess, fairly modern and still an expensive boat. I successfully put it though for cat 2 use recently which he has been doing for the last 2 months but wishes to earn a bit with boat not moving as he doesn't always have the time do take people out.

He is absolutely aware of the risks regards other people staying on the boat, he is correctly insured for commercial activity, etc, etc.... everything is above board so to speak.

Of course he can advertise privately as well but BoB seems to be coming up as the best marketing solution for little work at the moment.

Any first hand thoughts would be appreciated!

There's a boat doing it at Belfast through airbnb I believe. A narrow boat with an extra storey added. I was surprised they actually made it from Bangor to Belfast, but seems they did. I don't know where it stands legally, but so far so good it appears.

Lord Sugar's LadyA has BoB.

I guess it is what people chartering boats expect these days
