Hi, asking for my brother-in-law, who is doing up a wooden yacht. He has removed the keel, to get the old keelbolts out. What is the best material to use to rebed the keel to the hull? The area is approx 4 inch wide x 4ft long. Would sheet/tape butyl mastic be acceptable, rather than tubes of mastic?

Hi, others more knowlegable may be along but I have been using CT1, always stays a bit flexble, strong as hell and will actually go off under water, there is one from Screwfix called OB1 which is meant to be good but no experience of it myself.

Hope that helps a bit
