Becalmed over the weekend and back to work today?

Just to bring you up to date - it's been a steady F4 for the last 2 hours.:D

As my late mother used to say...."You can go off people you know"

I contemplated sailing on sunday at Rutland, but there was precious little wind, so I did useful things like filling minor dings with gelcoat filler and sanding it down, polishing black marks off the hull, measuring up for this and that, and wandering round the boatpark sucking an ice lolly looking at how other people do things on their boats.

I am Solent bound on 2nd Oct for a couple of days. I am placing my order for sunshine and a F3 gusting 4..with an occasional 5. This will enable me to enjoy my racing and keep my breakfast down (I'm a delicate soul).

If you struggled to sail on Saturday or Sunday, and are now sitting at a desk away from the sea, as I sit on my foredeck in T-shirt and shorts today, looking out over the western Solent the wind is up to 10+kts and there is all of 12 other boats out.

Just thought you'd like to know what you are missing. :p

Studland was also nice this morning. A gentle swim to start the day and then a drift back to the mooring using the tide most of the way. Drive home was a pain !!
