I wanted to go and have been waiting to see the signs.

You should have had the £4.50 pasties then. Seriously what it the point of your rather miserable post, the weather was good, parking was plentiful and well marshalled, there were lots of friendly people about, the PBO talk (at least the one that I attended) was basic but adequate and AFAIK attendance (and purchasing of goods) was not compulsory.
