Beaulieu boat jumble campsites?

Hey all,

Can anyone recommend (or discourage) a good campsite for the Beaulieu boat jumble for a campervan-full of eager sailor chaps.

:)

Thanks
Tim

My first port of call for such things is the campfire section on ukampsite.co.uk reviews a-plenty on most.
There are a few campfire-friendly sites in Hampshire, the nearest being at Southampton, Lymington and Fordingbridge.

Not looked to see which allow campervans or what the reviews are like, but you'll find them all in the Hampshire section of http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/articles/view.asp?id=4

If you're going to camp - you might as well have a fire to eat and drink around. :)

I'd recommend Hurst view in Lymington

Great pub short walk, campsite very friendly and allow open camp fires should you wish?

Loads of reviews of that site on the ukcampsite link above. Find the site listed under Hampshire, click through to it then click again to see the reviews.

I tend to read all the negatives as the positives tend to glow. If you could live with the worst of the reviews, it's a winner. I don't expect to be staying in a hotel when I go to a campsite though, so I don't think I've ever agreed with a negative review on that site. :)

update - Thanks for all the advice people.

So we drove down on the Saturday afternoon to Hurst View Campsite

Nice owner, good facilities, shame about the weather and the fact that the boat jumble was cancelled, but otherwise a nice evening, night time walk to the local pub (chequers) for some hearty food, I very much recommend the campsite to future boat jumblers. :)

stayed there several times myself.. wonderful place... apart from the port-a-cabin loos and showers being rather run down
