Had a pleasant surprise on Sat evening ... phoned into BH to check that he had room on the Piles for us to be told that there would indeed be room (even had a complete pile mooring to ourselves!) and Sally Taxi from Cowes was running...
The Sally water Taxi from Cowes is operating in Beaulieu around the YH as a trial run for a couple of months. The "introductory" rate was £1 (each way ... but you're pretty stuffed once you're ashore?!) and if it is commercially viable they'll continue to run it during the weekends (till 23:30 on a Saturday apparently!). Especially handy if you've not put your inflatable onboard yet !! Doh!
Normal disclaimer: I've got No commercial interest in Sally Taxi .. although it will make it much easier for us if they continue to operate !! Always assuming the rate doesn't match the marina's rate!!
