I see that a team from MB&Y have won this year's Beaujolais run. I always think it's a bit of harmless fun, though the wine is still a bit too Nouveau for me to enjoy at this time of year.

However, according to the account, it was thrashed to Calais in a Scooby Impreza, bounced across the Channel in a Bladerunner RIB and then - worst of all - conveyed to Canary Wharf by Hugo on a bike (unspecified) to be presented to the Sunday Times. On the assumption that it would, by then, have been pretty much undrinkable, I reckon they then ceremonially poured it down the Khazi. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

bought a top bottle recently in France, just to remind me..
none of the four of us could drink it at all. Down the sink it went.
It really is so bloody aweful.

The original plan was to get a world superbike competitor to do the final leg on something suitably rapid but on the day he was too busy signing breasts and pulling wheelies (or somesuch), so I stepped into the breach in on my not very rapid BMW F650. Still, at least the car and boat were pretty cool!

I was thinking of something with class, Bonneville, or, yes, Goldie, Norton, Velocette Thruxton (last bike before my XT 600). Silly old b#gger!

We lost four tons of the stuff two weeks ago.... cargo kept telling me it was by the aircraft ready to be loaded, but could I (or the loader, or the cargo manager ....) find it anywhere? Someone had a good night... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
