BCYA 2015 events meeting which takes place in Barry Yacht Club on Sunday 18th January at 11.30hrs...
All sailing/yacht clubs are cordially invited to send two representatives to theBCYA 2015 events meeting which takes place in Barry Yacht Club on Sunday 18th January at 1130hrs. In addition we would be delighted to see any other interested individuals.

We will discuss and update the BCYA Events Calendar. A copy of the current Calendar follows and the updated version can be seen on our Web Site. This will be updated on a regular basis. Please forward details of events for your club to: kathykilbey@gmail.com
BCYA AGM for the year 2014
The AGM will be kept as short as possible. See agenda and previous minutes below.

Complimentary Buffet at 1.00pm and the bar will be open.

A presentation which should be of great interest to our Clubs and Members on:
The Proposed Tidal Lagoon off Newport by Jeanette Reis of Tidal Lagoon Power Ltd

Club representatives are asked to bring details of your open events along to this meeting so that they can be placed on the calendar and any potential double bookings discussed so as to ensure good turn outs at all events.
The Calendar meeting will be followed by a short BCYA presentation/AGM during which the BCYA Yachtsperson of the year, BCYA Club of the year and BCYA Blue Book Cruising Challenge awards will be presented. A complimentary buffet lunch will then be served at 1300hrs and this will be followed by an illustrated presentation given by Tidal Lagoon Power Ltd regarding their plans to construct a tidal lagoon off Newport.
Should be an interesting few hours, please discuss with your sailing friends and your club and I hope to see you there !
