BBC World Service Frequency

You of course get BBC Radio 4 on 198 LW the rest of the time. At night I manage to catch is as far as western med on our SSb.

Not on long wave but

you can still receive the africa service on 12095 and sometimes 17640 on sw in the eastern med, forsome reason the sunday afternoon premiership, YES premiership football gets a power boost.
Chas on Kentrina's login so not necessarily her point of view

SSB Radio 4? NO

it is just on plain amplitude modulation (am) radio at the igher end of the wavelength (or lower end of the frequency) spectrum.tune your receiver in to ssb (or dsb for that matter) and you will just get a very distorted reception.

Yep all the overseas services from China to VOA and Auntie are on AM and not ssb. You can resolve the signal with carefull tuning on SSB USB or LSB but if your receiver does AM on short wave then thats the way to go for minimum distortion.
