BBC TV Weather Forecasts - which to believe?

Wednesday morning,

Local TV - South of England,
winds around Solent, NE 12mph in Southampton Water, SW 8mph at Hurst.

National TV, 10mins later, winds in same area, NE 23mph.

Outside my house, NE steady at least F7/8, which agrees somewhat with national TV.

How can these forecasts, from same source, be so different!

Local TV forecast hasn't been produced by forecasters ever since the Southampton Weather Centre was closed down so BBC South forecasts to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Ignore the 'official' weather forecasts. The most accurate 'probable' situation is by taking the previous two days actual weather, then look out of the window today and tomorrow's weather will be an 'average' of those values...
