Might be an interesting programme on freeview tonight at 9pm.

"The making of Captain Cook"....... from naval nobody to national hero.

Hah! I missed the Magellan one /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif mostly because I hardly watch tv, and don't often read the listings either. I only came across this because there's an advert at the top of the BBC homepage.

Magellan was pathetic

Depth of research zero, no interesting information, just a lot of leaping about and pulling in ropes with gritty remarks. Even ten-year-olds would find it boring. Incredibly disappointing. Hope these ones are better.

Re: Magellan was pathetic

I found it interesting. And I fully expect to find tonights programme interesting aswell. For those who enjoy passive research the series is excellent.

Re: Magellan was pathetic

Someone gave me a large tin of Cadbury's Roses yesterday (for services rendered).

I wonder how many I can eat before Endeavour reaches Hawaii......
