Welcome to the forum, just thought I would bump this back up since its only just appeared.

The Bayliner is a great boat, lots of people buy them as a first toe in the water. Built to a price which gives much more boat for your money but with a few 'rough edges'. Make sure its in decent condition (get a survey) and try and get one with some engine history.

Good luck, let us know if you have any specific questions.

bayliner is not a specific fishing boat and if its carpeted may not be the ideal boat for fishing.if you can skipper a boat all well and good and if not it may be worth doing some rya courses if you plan going to sea especially vhf dsc radio course which are normally a 2 day course if all goes pear shaped.mobiles dont like getting wet and have limited use once out at sea.
mercruiser or volvo are the prefered power trains.check engine over and if not familiar take a confident person who is not looking at interior trim but at the things that cost £000,s to replace.a test drive is a must and the seller will never refuse this if its of a reliable nature.will need a 4.3 or 5.0 to be of any benefit as the 3 litre will struggle with the hull size.if its trailered it has to be braked and working as this weighs over 750kg,s.
a chartplotter with sonar capability will tell you where the sandbars are as hitting one of those at speed will do severe damage to the boat and your safety.
a powerboat course may be beneficial and you can even do them in your own vessel at some centres.
