i will be bringing my gibsea422 back from spain almeria, to grimsby, and planed to be crossing biscay at the begining of july, i had planed to stay well offshore and make for maybe brixham. my mate tells me about the tall ships festival in brest and is keen to go, my first thoughts are stay out and get biscay done, and if i do go into brest what are the chances of finding anywhere to park? wot do you good folks think? have you been? am i a killjoy if i dont go? bob

Moulin Blanc marina in Brest may well be heaving but you could do a lot worse than staying out at Camaret and getting the ferry into Brest, but again, once the French hols start you'll be pushed for space. One place I have found peace and quiet and a more sheltered berth than Moulin Blanc is up the Elorn River. If you can get in though Camaret would be my first choice.
