In the "manual for owners and skippers" there is a wiring diagram showing the Calira panels. It takes a bit of time to get to grips with it but persevere and you will do better if you enlarge it first! I am still wondering how to get the ammeter working after three years but apparently you need to have the Bavaria battery charger (also made by Calira) to make it work. I've bought a Dolphin intelligent charger now though with it's own remote panel so I'll never know now!

Those two breakers are spares and some people just solder onto the connections at the back of the trips. Don't connect too close to the trip or the heat will deform the trip and it'll stop working properly.

The plug and socket I think you are referring to is one of two fitted on aluminium angle brackets on the white backboard of the locker behind the panel? On my boat a continental No 1 has been written on it. (I am looking at a photo I took of it as I type!) Your spare wires (red) do run up into that white block but nothing appears to come out of the top. Correct? Bavaria's intention is that the wiring will always conform to CE and Lloyds regulations, so to attach additional equipment you need to get the corresponding extra pins (male or female - I just can't remember) crimp them onto the ends of the new equipment wires and insert them down into the top part of the white connector. Best to separate the two white halves first. You only get one chance as these pressed tinned brass pins are barbed to prevent them from popping out when you mate the two halves of the plug & socket together. A good supplier for the pins and or sockets is Maplins but they do stock all sorts of sizes.

If the boat was new when you got it they give you the ones to connect a battery charger to the back of the mains RCCD panel and a white block to put them in. They are the sort you want but the diameter might be different.

If the boat isn't under warranty I would connect downstream of the trips. If it is under warranty, consult Opel or whichever dealer sold the boat to you.

if you need a copy of the wiring diagram send me a private Message with an email address & I'll send you a copy. My boat is a 42 but I think you'll find sufficient similarities to sort out your problem.

I've just found a better photograph and the spares run into the white block on the right. Also it is better to run cabling from the switches if you don't want to go to the trouble of buying pins for the connector block.

Send me a PM with an email address & i'll send you a copy of the photo and the wiring diagram

Just a note to confirm Steve's opinion. I have a Bav34 and have similar problem.
if you manage to get the "pins" I would appreciate you giving me the info. I have pushed my wiring through the "empty" pin hole to mate with the (i think - male pin)
If you don't have all the extras fitted then the wiring loom for heater, fridge etc. can be found behind the bulkhead between the cooker and water tank. (I bought the basic boat and fitted fridge etc. later.) I most definately would not recomend interfering with the connections at the breaker side dist. panel.
Hope this helps.
