Does anyone know how much fuel a Bavria 29 sport with twin D3-160s will use at a gentle cruise. Assuming no tide or serious sea state I would have thought around 3mpg, or around 18lts per side at a mid cruise of 25 knts

Thats based on my experience with a 33ft boat running older KAD43s that managed 1.9mpg in benign conditions

I would think 3 is possibly doable if you are very careful but somewhere between 2 and 3 would be more the norm.

At typical cruising RPM (Say +10%ish off WOT) expect +/- 5 gallons per hour per side.

There are so many variables it's really hard to tell, but that won't be unrealistic.

So total 10 gallons per hour at an abitrary 25 knots will give roughly 2.5nm per gallon, but quoting mpg on the water is really not sensible as there are too many variables. IN addition, I really have no idea how fast you'll be travelling aboard that boat in fine conditions at 10% beneath WOT with 2 x D3 160's!!!

I think that's a very good estimate,
my boat use 17lts per side, average cruising 25kn,
with D3-190's,
boat loa is 29ft, weight is 3.3Ton

We are 28ft 3.5 tonnes twin AD31Ps 150 HP each

At around 3000RPM - 24kts we use about 30 LPH (15 each side)
