Since my last scare of not being able to start Genie at sea, I have now bought a new battery! Job done I thought I will fit it in and have a go.

Old battery out and new one in, Vaseline on contacts check polarity twenty times!

Go up and press button! Nothing!

Put multicenter on genie input? 12 volt is there!

I am lost now: confused:

Ok put a jump lead from battery to genie! Starts no problem, Ok has to be the isolate switch,
Disconnect all power and open cover on isolating switch!

I don’t believe it all wires connected but forgot to tighten them?

New build aaaahhhh

All working well now!

I have to ask, was this the original problem caused by the loose cables or was the battery actually the problem?
