The river will be closed to all traffic in the late evening of 17th June due to the big firework display at Upnor.
Details here on MSBA website.

Hoping to arrange a short cruise down river on the morning of Thursday 8th of June to meet/view the arrival of the first of the Dutch fleet which should have Naval, historic and tall ships in there somewhere.

Any inside information on the actual timing of this? I can't find anything apart from the "morning" on the relevant websites.

The last bit of info that we had was the fleet would be assembling around Stangate at 10 (ish) and sailing up for a mass sailpast at the dockyard around mid day before going to their allocated moorings.
A small group of boats will be departing RCC at 08.30 to go down and watch the arrival.
Am still trying to find a decent large scale map PDF of the river closure as the one on the Peel Ports website is rubbish.

From the events website.Info for shore based visitors wishing to attend sailpast.(tickets only)

"Guests are advised to arrive between 1pm-1.30pm ready for the event the start at
2pm. The ceremony will finish at 3pm. The Historic Dockyard Chatham attractions
and exhibitions will not be open for general admission on this day and guests
attending the event are required to leave the site by 4pm."

From this would expect the main bit of the sail past fleet to be passing the VIPs from 14.00 to 15.00.
Depends on how long the slower vessels take to travel up from Sheerness to Chatham !.

The forecast has some nice strong winds to help them on their way to the Medway for the next couple of days.

HMS Richmond has been recalled for "operational reasons"

Going aboard the George Stephenson is an absolute must see.
The owner is besotted with British engineering & the GS is built around British equipment, all fully restored to original ( or better ) condition
I have been aboard twice, the last time 3 week ago in Oostende voor Anker
