Battery.... Who from

Need a couple of replacment cells. but who sells quality cells now at a sensible price. used barden in the past and they want £160 for a varta (seems a lot to me).

anywhere on the south coast or internet delivered would be great (if there is such a thing)

Are you going for wet lead acid or sealed "low maintenance". IMHO Sealed are a waste of time, and Gel is a total waste. I have a gel on my bow thruster, and you would not believe how slowly they charge!

If you don't live on a marina with shore power, you need batteries that can be charged hard - and the resultant water loss replenished, which you cannot do with a sealed "low maintenance" battery

I've just replaced my 2 domestic batteries (BSX Powerdrive) after 9 years with 110Ahr Somoya marine batteries. Obtained them from Peters Chandlery for about £85 each. Obviously it's too early to say how they last, but so far so good.

my two year old varta has just died.... load tested it at the weekend and it said replace ! still replaced with a varta though. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
