Battery replenish.

I have an old Volvo Penta MD1 with a Dynastart and was wondering how long the engine has to run to replace the charge used in starting.Just a guesstimate,I know there are many variables. Thanks, Peter.

if it starts straight away I would have thought have a few minutes,

depends on how easily your engine starts, about 1/4Hr is usual as the output is not all that great, but have the advantage of regulating at about 14 volts hence the battery should last longer that at a regulated voltage of 13.5 volts
