I left the boat in a hurry on Sunday and forgot to turn the battery isolator to off (it was on the domestic battery).

Pretty sure everything was turned off at the panel but not sure whether I'll have a flat battery when I next go in a weeks time.
Maybe it would be as well to take a spare with me?

If it was only on the domestic battery, then why worry? Your engine will start surely and can recharge the domestic battery if it is low?

Why do you think that it will be completely discharged.? If everything is switched off as you say, then it won't have lost much . However,if you have a spare then there is no harm in taking it along next time.

I fitted two cheap warning lamps by my companionway steps. As you leave the boat its clear if a battery is on. It also gives illumination to go to the loo at night!
