I don't know if this has been posted before but if you are about to buy a battery from the Battery Megastore they sell the identical batteries online on ebay for about 60% of the price they charge on their website!

http://www.batterymegastore.co.uk/p...Battery&sc=Alphaline Leisure&a=Caravan&page=2

at £194.95

versus

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/629-Alpha...rElectronics_Batteries_SM&hash=item4178392f7a

at £119.50

both include delivery, so saving over £75.

It was difficult decision ethically because I felt dis-inclined to buy from a company so happy to - ahem - overcharge one group of customers, but in the end the £75 was too much temptation!

Actually all a bit bizarre because they would have to pay substantial fees to ebay and Paypal on the lower priced product!

I havent checked whether this is the same with all the other batteries they sell though.

I bought this- a couple would cost the same as your item, 220Ah not 190Ah total and easier to handle

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=291117769204#ht_1403wt_721 (arrived, good comms/packing, can't comment on quality yet obviously, weighs 18kg )

But I do see your point-

N

Not quite sure you do :) The point I was making was simply that IF you planned to use this company then DONT buy from their own website, buy from their ebay store and save money

However, I bought that one because it is a size-for-size replacement with the correct fittings and terminals in the same place as the old one - simple quick changeover.

I have ordered parts from an eBay seller called HeaterPartsDirect. Over 5000 sales and a 100% feedback.

It wasn't until after a couple of orders I realised it was ButlerBus! They make no secret of this on their eBay shop.

And yes, the prices are often different between the main ButlerBus website and eBay.

When I queried this with ButlerBus they said different market and sometimes the eBay prices were lower, sometimes higher, and sometimes the same.

Both channels have produced excellent service.

So happy with either but a bit annoying when trying to get an order built of several parts and having to check both sites for the best deal and then factor in postage across possibly two orders.

Sometimes it's the opposite and the website is cheaper than ebay, it's always worth checking because most people think ebay is cheapest.
