When I went down to the boat this weekend and turned on the shore power, I noticed that the battery monitor was showing a discharge of 6-7 amps. There was no circuit on. When I turned off the battery charger (Stirling), the discharge fell back to zero. This did not happen before- the battery charger is coneccted directly ro the batteries so the monitor can't be reading the charge, as of course it does when the engine is running. Over the course of the night, any load on the batteries, such as a light, was "added" to the discharge figure, which was gradually falling back, to reach less than one amp by the morning. The voltage reading seemed fine- about 14.2 v. at start up, then 13.5 once the batteries showed full charge. I have a seperate house and engine bank- the battery monitor only reads the house bank. Any suggestions about what is going on?
