I bought a new set of batteries for my toy last week.....110Ah....direct from a battery supply firm in west london.....cost including VAT and delivery to my home address about £53 each.

Imagine my surpise when I saw exactly the same batteries in a not too far away from me chandlers at £99 each !!!

Is this taking battery charging a bit too far ?

Ah now! I have worked this one out. You purchase your batteries in "normal working" hours. So the rate you were charged was the "normal" rate.
On the other hand, you saw the same batteries at the weekend. Which we all know is charged outside of "normal" working hours.
Thus, if you saw them on a saturday they would have been "charged" at time and a half the normal rate. Whereas if you saw them on a sunday then they would have been "charged" at twice the normal rate. All I can say is that your lucky you were'nt on a "bonus" rate!
