Hi,
I am in the market for a battery charger suitable for a 75Amp/H lead acid battery that will also be ok for a 75Amp/H maintenance free battery. I am having trouble finding a charger that will be suitable for both, would appreciate it if anyone knows a suitable charger on the market.

When you say maintenance free is it still a wet lead acid battery? If so you have a wide choice but would suggest you get a 4 stage charger by 'Sterling' or equivalent. Halford type chargers are only suitable if you disconnect them once charged.
If on the other hand your maintenance free is an AGM battery then you would need two separate chargers unless you spent big money. The reason being that the voltage required for the AGM would be different from the Lead Acid and hence a standard charger can't do both voltages at the same time.

As I said, The Gunsons one is auto, has 100% charge or permanent float, auto on or of, si it can be left on. Mine is 12 years old now but performs as well as other 'reassuringly expensive' ones.
