Battery Cable

I‘m after a made to measure battery cable with crimped connectors. I would make it myself but given that it is one-off and that I haven’t got any crimpers for 50mm2 cable, it is going to be easier to have it made. Is there anywhere in the Southampton/Lymington area, I could get this done on a ‘whilst you wait’ basis?

Unfortunately having spoken with most of the chandlers none of them can do it. I can order online but as I need to measure first this will delay the installation. Thanks anyway.

I may be wrong, but I think YouBoat in Gosport offers this service. They also have a branch nearer to Lymington.

YouBoat’s stock of terminals is limited atm (in their Gosport branch) I could only find 8/25 (as in 8mm hole 25mm2 cable) when I was in there the other day. I’m right in the middle of making up a load of battery terminals and I’ve got a hydraulic crimper so if you turned up in Gosport with the cable and terminals I’ll crimp the ends on for you. (I’ve also got some black and red heatshrink to finish them off properly. PM me if you want to get in touch.

Thanks for the lead. The Lymington branch (Nick Cox Chandlery) can’t help but Yachtmail on the Town Quay offers the service. The chap I spoke with has even offered to lend me his hydraulic crimpers so I can do the job myself.

Thank you for your very kind offer but (as above) Yachtmail in Lymington has called me back to say that they can do it for my whilst I wait or lend me their crimpers so that I can do it myself.
