Can you mix different types of battery for your service bank? I've recently replaced a dead "sealed" battery which is linked to an "open" battery, both are wet cell, should I replace the old "open" cell to a "sealed" cell so that both are similar types?

Thanks

i would keep them both the same, no doubt someone will come along and tell you to replace both as its not good to mix a old one with a new one ,this is good practice, although I have just replace one battery out of a bank and in the pass a few times and so far not had a problem.
I think it depend how old the banks are.

Both batteries can be charged on the same profile, so no reason to change the other one. If you can change the settings on your charger, set it for sealed batteries.

Thanks, I'll check to see if I can set the charger to Sealed but it's not a particularly new one, it's a Dolphin charger fitted in a 2009 SO33i.
