Anyone had any experience of them??

With the demise of Arun Sails (gone into liquidation - though the parent company Arun Rockall Marine Services Ltd is continuing, based at Royal Clarence Yard in Gosport) these are now my only local option...

As a very much younger man I remember their windsurf sails had a good rep...

Never actually had any Batt sails myself but raced against plenty of dinghies with them, as you say when younger about 1,000 years ago; they seemed pretty well up with the best at the time, but no idea wot they're like for cruisers now to help you !

Will be interested to hear as I and chums used Arun if only for covers etc, as people say they were very helpful, a shame.

Dick Batt is a good sailor, racing Squibs among other things.
He makes the sails for the Victory Class, I think that's worked well.
I don't know what bigger boats sails he does.
The are other local-ish sailmakers Dynamic Sails and Flew Sails spring to mind.

Worth knowing... mine ain't much bigger than a Victory....! :D

Very well regarded in dinghy and small keelboat classes, e.g. Squibs.
I believe he also made the original Wombles costumes for his brother.

Dick's a good mate, but he's a bit picky on what he does these days, so might not be up for mending yeacht sails.

Your best bet is Mark Flew at Wicormarine.

Thanks for all the nice comments. To set the record straight, at Batt Sails we are completely up for mending and valeting yacht sails.
As well as all the dinghy and keelboat successes, Batt Sails Ltd has always been a fully-equipped modern yacht sail loft, regularly manufacturing for all sizes of cruising yacht up to about 50'0", including multihulls.

Yacht sail servicing and canvas work has been an important part of our business for the past 35 years.
