bathing platform

i want to fit a bathing platform to my 1961 wooden boat, it needs to be made out of wood to be in keeping with it, i dont want a angle going below the water line, but to take an angle up would probally look ugly, any ideas to help me out, many thanks

Could you hinge it then be able to raise and lower it with a permanent rope and pulley sytem to both corners. Saves big green uns landing heavy when it could be avoided by the ability to raise it when it roughs up

Or perhaps a grid of timber slats with a fixed chain on the rear corners and a single ring in the center with a fixed line to lift and secure it when not in use.
