Hi

I've searched, but not found an inexpensive transducer to measure barometric pressure which has a NMEA output (I have found references to expensive ones!).

I don't want a display, just something that will produce NMEA sentences giving pressure, and that doesn't cost too much!

Links please, anyone?

Thanks

Im sure I have seen a NASA device that shows historical barometric and wind direction ? Not sure if NMEA, so maybe not much help /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Not very long ago I also searched for an inexpensive barometric pressure sensor with NMEA 0183 WIMDA. As you say, there are a few expensive ones such as the Airmar Ultrasonic Weather Station or Vaisala PTU300 that will output NMEA 0183 WIMDA. Somewhat cheaper is the NovaLynx 230-600 Barometric Pressure Sensor. However this does not output NMEA, only numeric ASCII text representing pressure in mb.
