That's the most extreme case I've seen, there are loads of cheap panels on ebay which simply are not big enough to be the power they claim.
I did get a so-called 50W panel for under £15 with regulator, a quick test showed it could do one point something amps short circuit, so at best a 30W panel.

The other item which gets mis-described on ebay is those lithium power packs for charging your phone, often rated as many thousands of mAh. And even the 'honest' ones tend to rate the Ah of the 3.7V battery inside, not the Ah of 5V it can output. It's silly, these are a great product and excellent value, why exaggerate?

Ebay and amazon are full of very powerful but tiny solar panels. All pwm charge controllers are now branded as mttp. Torches that can fit in your pocket have more lumens than the sun. Fake lithium batteries that barely make a tenth of their claimed capacity are everywhere.
I needed new nav lights. Bought some from the local chandlery as i didn't want rubbish.
They looked the part but at night they are just rubbish . Some of the led wires were not even soldered but just jammed in.

Looks exactly the same as the three "50w" panels I have. The last kit cost £9. They do the job I want them for. Two of them power the LED lighting in my sheds and the third trickle charges the boat battery. I seriously doubt I get 50w out of them but, for nine sovs, they do the job.

It’s really not. EBay needs to data in order to improve their AI tooling. If you don’t tag it they can’t spot future ones autonatically
I tried reporting it, just a few limited choices to select why you are reporting it. NOWHERE to type any words like "A solar panel that size cannot possibly have an output of 600W so he is misrepresenting it"

So the report will no doubt have no effect as clearly it is not in ebays interest to pull listings, they won't get their sellers fees if they do.
