OEM oil filters for my engine have for the past 5 years been about £15 plus postage. My local chandlery had one for sale for £18.50. Yes, I know that you can get lookalikes for under a tenner but I wanted the OEM ones. So I bought it, tried to get a discount but was told that at that price there was no room for that. Today the same chandlery has exactly the same OEM filters for £8.50! So I bought 2 more. Mistake in pricing? Apparently not. Quote "we have got a good discount from the supplier"! They are still £15 from the same supplier online + postage. There may be a clue in the date stamp on the last 2 filters - 2009!
